HID installed finally
Sweet glare for oncoming traffic.
OEM HID's = low beam, magnified/focused projector lenses.
HID bulbs in stock reflector lenses are a tuner joke as are low tech/discount ballasts requiring piggyback capacitors!
RAM doesn't rate a factory HID option like Viper, Charger, Challenger, Grand Cherokee, 300, Town & Country.

My 08 Z06 had a set of HIDs in projectors and I got flashed more in that then the Ram.
I used a relay on each side along with a capacitor and they work like a charm. I used a set of ultra slim motorcycle 35W Ballasts (same as the one in my motorcycle) and they work perfect. They've been in my K7 GSXR 1000 since I bought it in April of 07. Not ONE problem with a lifetime warranty on bulbs and ballasts. Go figure....

I was never a big fan of the HIDs in my vette, so if two people say these are better than those, I may just give them a try....
Has anyone done any serious off-roading with the HIDs? Do they hold up well to being bounced around and such?

Much better then stock filament type bulbs would ever last.
Tell ya what happened with my HIDs when I 1st got them. Had a Bi-xenon bulb that wouldn't switch from lo to hi. The guy I got them from said he'd replace it but I had to send him the bulb back first. I said no way I'd go back to the stock bulbs after having the HIDs. Bought 2 new HID bulbs just in case I ever needed them at a great price. I doubt I ever will. The life expectancy of a HID bulb is measured in thousand of hours as compared to halogen that are measured in the hundreds.
DO it! you wont be disappointed....
not offroading but i work for a railroad and i am crossing tracks all the time and mine have held up well
So, from those that have commented on this thread, do you have links to the setups you purchased?
