Thumbs up iPhone / iTouch Diagnostic App - OBD ii

Has anyone seen or better yet tried this iphone application for diagnosing errors, clearing check engine lights, etc?

It looks pretty cool, but I would love to hear from others in the forum.

http://gopointtech.com/blog/blog/products/

I see it for sale on Amazon...

I am mostly interested in it for providing check engine error code information.

What's your opinion?

Ha!

I can't tell if I am being "deleted"/ ignored because I sound too much like an advertisement, or if it's because this truck forum would prefer to discuss shotgun racks and "4x4" macho stuff.

I have no association with this product, but let me rephrase my question.

Does anyone here you OSD 2 diagnostic tools for their truck?

What tools are recommended?

I can't answer your question, but I can tell you that basically calling everyone who drives a truck a redneck isn't going to get you very far either.......

Nope, the delete was me deleting something that I was incorrect about.

As for why nobody is joining in, probabally because there are hundreds of ODB2 scanners and iPhones are for kids Now where is my shotgun?

Not all people who drive trucks are rednecks just the ones not driving the New RAM LOL Those chevy commercials where the 4x4 that looks way too low to the ground bouncing all over the place....hell ya gotta be a redneck to wanna be in that truck, I don't think my Ram would throw me around like that. I tried some rough terrain, should have took pics. It did not throw me around or do that bouncing your head off the ceiling thing that most 4x4s do.

Have a look at the Scangauge. I bought one last year and have used it in many cars. I brought it with me when test driving new cars so I could see my MPG's while I drove.

Here's more info, and they are available at most Autozones' now.

well it wont do anything for CEL or codes, but dynolicious is an awesome app for the iPhone/iPod. Not too accurate, but fun none the less. Another good one is iDrag. Does all kinds of racing calculations, Dyno equivalents, tire size equivalents, gears, cams, on and on.
