Default Truxedo Truxport tonneau cover

I recently purchased a new Truxedo Truxport tonneau cover for my 2010 Ram CC. I am not that impressed with the fit. The first decent rain and the front section held a bunch of water. The thing does not appear to have any pitch to allow water to run off. I "adjusted" the cover tighter (though I don't think I can adjust it enough to prevent it from holding water) and now I have a 1/4" gap on either side rail near the gate where water can get in the bed.

Anyone else have experience with this cover? I might make them take it back and try a different one. The cover is great to roll back and easy to use, but I have a problem with the water. In my opinion, it will not last if it holds water due to stretching. Might have to revert back to the trusty old snap cover. What a joke....

Well that sucks...I was looking at getting this cover too. Hopefully someone that has this cover will offer some advice to the problem you're having.

I would say you got the worng size either by accedent or screw up some where along the lines. I purchased one for my Crew Cab and the thing fit great. Installation and rigging were a breeze. Even the wife came out to help and did one side whille I did the other. As long as you follow the directions its a sinch, dont install it backwards like I did it dosnt work. As for protection, Im stationed in Arkansas and snow really dosnt happen but this year we had a layer of ice then some sleet then about a foot of snow. After it was done I went out and cleaned off the cover, I rolled it up then unrolled it and it was fine, fit like I had just put it on. The low profile looks great (for something I put on) and it keeps out the elements like nothing else. The one thing we do get is rain and I never had a problem with it getting into the bed when the covers on. It rools up to almost nothing. Its a deffenet buy if your not looking to spend alot of money and want a good product.
If I had the same problem I would call the company up and have them send you another or exchange it, obvioulsy the size is worng.

Make sure you are pulling it tight too. Along the sides you need to pull it across hard and the velcro down. Don't worry about the velcro not being completely locked on the rail. You want it tight. But that is not to say that you didn't ge the wrong size either..
They are a great cover. The only thing that holds water is the tailgate spoiler..
Something is not right with yours if it holds water.

I have the same problem you do. I bought my cover almost two months ago and it's been raining alot lately. A little water used to come in the front where the window is and I tried sealing it up with duct tape and that didn't work. It almost seems like it made it worse. I even put weatherstripping underneath it but that didn't help. I'm taking it to a shop and they are gonna reinstall it for 40 bucks. They have a 1 year warranty for their services so hopefully they can fix it or I'm gonna try and return it for a different cover.

I went to that truck stop and had them reinstall the cover. It took about 20 minutes and they removed the old stripping and put some new weatherstripping on. I used the tailgate seal that came with the cover and that was probably why it was leaking. He thought I put it on the wrong way. 20 bucks later and a 1 year warranty it fit alot better. I took the truck on a small road trip and I was averaging 20.4 miles per gallon. a significant improvement. That was what the EVIC said but I got almost 550 miles to the tank, which is 26 gallons.
