Default Installed tow hooks

Taking the plastic cover off consists of 6 push pins which I used a flathead screwdriver to pop them out. Last week when cleaning the crome i noticed some rust starting around the edges where the come meets the plastic. After removing it it gave it a way around the area.

Now go under the truck and unbolt two bolts shown in the picture (Keep them handy

Slide the tow hook into the hole from under the truck and line up the holes. They will have given you a package with two extra bolts the bottom. I bolted them just like a tire.. Firmly until all where in then tighten them until It wouldnt go any further.

The plastic covering. I wasent to sure how to remove the slots for the tow hooks so it took me some time(1.5 hours!) There has got to be an easy way of doing it. I just used a box cutter knife along the back of the covering. You will see a rough line and i just sliced it until i got through then used a little saw and worked my way around. After that was complete i just sanded the edges slightly.
I tried many ways of cutting the palstic and this was the best way i found. Although with all the attemps of doing it different ways I have some scratches on the plastic which the tow hook covered. haha Ohwell.

You'll probabally never notice the scratches since they are down low, but if it bugs you the facia piece with the holes factory cut costs around $10

I just bought hooks for my ram. Will they work on a ram sport? Is there a cut out for the sport model or will I have to do the same thing?
