There were some references here to Mopar eventually releasing a keyless entry kit. Does anyone know anything about this? I already have power locks, but I have a metal key with no keyless entry.

 

I've got a factory one installed in my truck and it sucks!

Save your money and get an aftermarket one. Lately my truck doesn't want to unlock the doors for me and if I use the key, the alarm goes off. So now I have to stand there and keep pressing the unlock button 20 to 40 times to get the doors to unlock. But the last couple of times I've brought it to the dealer it works fine. My truck hates me.

I've had lots of vehicles with keyless entry systems, but this is the only one that I've ever had problems with.

 

I had an aftermarket(Viper 5901) on my 09 ST and LOVED it, it was 2-way so I got confirmation that my truck started, it told alerted me if my alarm went off, it told me what the cabin temperature was in my truck, and all sorts of things. Best of all the range was AMAZING. I could be sitting in the break room at work and be able to start my truck, be in the back of walmart, or the gym, etc...

I have the factory RS on my 2010 and I hate it. I have *******ly no idea if my truck started or not(9 times out of 10 it doesn't) and little to no range on the damn thing...I have to be physically looking at y truck for the signal to reach....

Also something to note, I was told by 2 dealers that if you don't already have the remote unlock feature(which ST's don't) then you would not be able to add the factory remote start kit.
