Unfortunately I don't like the way the VLEDs plate looks during the day, otherwise I might consider them...

For some reason there appears to be residual current in the cargo light circuit and when off, the LEDs glow enough it is visible from a distance behind the truck. The 921s are bright as hell but do not use the reflectors at all. The XP5s use the reflector and create a pretty cool pattern and look real good except for the dim glow. Might try one of the resistors on it and see if that blocks the current from firing up the LEDs when they are supposed to be off. Put them in the inside as well, not harsh at all, gives it a pretty cool glow. I even installed a 6 LED strip under the dash on both sides, really lights up the interior, $10 at Autozone and 30 min. If anybody has a solution to the dim glow of the cargo LEDs let me know.. Not real pleased with the light from the 3rd brake light with either LED set. Will keep working on that one.
You need to put a 100 ohm- 1 watt resister in parallel with the circuit for the cargo light.

Smitty, Thanks!!! Will hook that up when I get my new LEDs in after my road trip to VA to drop the 04 Dakota off with my son in the AF. He is getting a hell of a deal. Will take some pics tomorrow night and post them up. Here is a rundown of the lights I put in: WLED-XP5s (white) (6 of them) in the license plate lights, B/U lights, and interior map lights, and a 4410-X9 in the dome light. Right now only have all the interiors and the B/U lights done. Ordered the 921-X9s and did not like the way they looked. Thinking about ordering the WLED-X5 Wide Angles or the WLED-XP5s for the cargos, license plate lights and center mounted brake light. Not sure which one yet. Might just order both and see which one works best. Will keep you posted as well as getting some pics up tomorrow.

1st. Thank your son for his service.
This is what I used for my cargo light.

Fills the lens nicely.

I'll get a picture of the LEDs in the license plate tonight. It looks really good, and is a lot brighter than the stock bulbs.

I tried replacing the interior lights (front) with these bulbs and they didn't work. I even turned them around a few times just to make sure, but nothing.

So, since I've got 4 extra bulbs, I'll give the reverse lights a shot tonight.
