Freeze on 4x4s????
I think my stealership is giving me the run around. Last week I made a deal on a truck that was supposed to be delivered this Monday. We agreed on a price, turned in my trade-in, paid made my down payment, and have been in a loaner truck since. The manager said they couldn't draft the contract until the truck was delivered and I was assured the deal was done. I called today (as I did not get a call yesterday) to check on the status and was told the truck was in town and should be at the lot this afternoon. I showed up and was told that my truck was in another town because "dodge put a freeze on 4x4s" being delivered to the lots. I was then told it will be in no later than April 1. Of course I'm being told this as a truck pulls up with a bunch of 1500s on the trailer.
Has anyone heard of a "freeze"? Or is my dealership giving me the run around? I'm starting to regret turning in my trade-in and giving my down payment.

Sounds like complete BS. Have them give you a printout of the status. You can see exactly what is going on by the codes. Even can have someone else check on it for you. People do this all the time so don't take no for an answer. All they have to do is go to the computer and print it out.

Well I just got the call that my truck is in and will be ready for pick up this afternoon. Now I have to prepare for the upsell crud with the finance department.
Thanks for the help all. I'll post an update later.
