Drove the '10 Hemi Today
My brother was out of town today and I had to go pick up his tailgate from the bodyshop that I personally dented a couple of weeks ago. So I got to drive his truck for most of the day. Once again, I had a lot of different feelings about the truck. Obviously, the 390 h/p is just undeniable; it's simply obnoxious. When you want the power, it's right there, and it has no issue reaching 100mph. The interior is quite nice, a lot more rugged than my interior. The seats have nice stiching to them and look like they can withstand some pretty good abuse. I also really like the satellite capable radio as well as the nice dashboard pieces and colors.
The only thing I don't really like about these trucks are some of the looks of it. I don't like how low it sits, and I don't like the front on these trucks. They don't really POP out at you when they are coming down the road at you. However, the rears on these trucks are simply awesome. I'm still skeptical about taking this truck as a serious worker; it just sits too low to imagine it hauling any kind of a series load. Personally, I think the truck would be sagging extremely low if we hooked up the 12" woodchipper that we often use on it; I don't like that. But other than that, it's a blast to drive and it has no issue owning the roads with its power. The flowmaster exhaust and diablo tuner really added some intense throttle response and power.
After I got back into my truck, I felt like I was in a "real" truck and not a toy, however, I could definitely tell that much truck wasn't nearly as powerful as his truck. He would wipe me right up.

Yes, the *** end will sag. I am picking up a set of airbags. And they do seem to sit low, but the 3 inch front and 1 rear fixes that up nicely. So, for a couple extra hundred bucks it turns into a real truck nicely. The power is obnoxious and mileage is amzingly good I think. Averaged 20 on a 14 hour roadtrip through the BC canyons.... I really can't complain, and that is with the 315's.
As for the front, it is a personal preference I guess. I thought I loved the 3rd gens till I saw a 4th. Then realized I liked it, and love the 4th.

I love the 4th gen styling in both the body and the interior. The power is good to have as well. Compare it to the 6.0 and the 5.3 from GM and there is no comparison. I'm in the process of trying to figure out what I want to buy, and while money is the main factor, there is a reason why I'm not dead set on a 4th gen 1/2.
If you'll look at the truck in my sig, you'll see that it is an RCLB. While I love this truck, I want more cab room. The problem is, I also want an 8 foot bed. Those two and Dodge 1/2s don't work. While I could live with an RC and get an 8 foot bed, I also can't get the trim package level that I like.
I'm peculiar I guess.
I want leather
I want painted accents not chrome
I really want the QC
I need to be able to fit two full sized pallets in the bed.
Just have a lot of thinking to do. I know that I can get a a trailer or a 2500, but I can't justify the overall cost factors/need. I mean, I don't haul all the time, but when I do, I need to know that it will be capable.
