Default K&N air filters

Is anyone using a K&N air filter on the new (2010) Dodge trucks?

Yah, I was thinking of the drop-in type. Have you noticed any improved performance like power or gas mileage?

I definitely noticed a little power gain. As for Mileage...I am not too sure. I didn't really start keeping track of my mileage until after I got the filter. If there was any I am sure it would be minimal. I have heard 1-2mpg.

I have one too..... put it in day one so hard to tell on either. Drove the truck home, then to work the next day. Put it in at work. It's something I have done on all vehicles I own, you can't go wrong.

I was told by my dealership that a K&N is not good for the '07 2500 Diesels 6.7. Does anyone know any different?

It is not good for their business. They would love to sell you a new paper filter every 10000 miles.

I was looking to get the K&N cold air kit but I noticed it said the 77 series kit is illegal here in PA. no C.A.R.B. sticker on it

That's what made me get the K&N. I had to get a filter for my wife's Journey and it cost me $40!! I can imagine what the Ram filter costs. The K&N cost me $80 and I never have to change it again!!
