Default Received my HIDs and Mopar CAI Today....

Nice stuff from HIDXtra and Steve White Motors......

Started to put the HIDs in but couldn't get the light assembly out....ran outta daylight and getting to the rear of the light seems tricky???

Very impressed with the quality of the Mopar CAI....very heavy duty...a bit heavy and robust but now I see why it does cost as much as it is. These are not $5 parts for sure. Much to my surprise, for those who live in Cali it is not yet "Officially" legal for use as it does not have the CARB EO yet....(It is pending which allows use) and when approved the stickers will be available. PM me and I'll get you the number to call to get the CARB sticker. If you don't know what it is.... You will find out quick if you ever get pulled over.

Default hids

after 3 different sets of HIDs I finally got it right! HIDxtra is the only kit that really works! all the other ones either flickered, had one bulb go out or mess with my radar detector! The capacitor is the key and they include it free (make sure u ask for it in the notes section of checkout) And they have a plug to go into the stock plug! all the others we're bare pins. Save yourself the headache and do what RamPhreak did, buy the HIDxtra.com conversion kit! Its a pain to take the lights out (grill has to come off etc.) so do it once and do it right! Sincerely-HID test dummy.

Worked on my truck today.....CAI now installed....good fitment...happy. Put the HID headlights in (H11) and attempted to put High Beams in (9005) one side did not fire up so I didnt do the other side and will be sending message to Michelle at HIDExtra....I am sure it will be taken care of quick but sucks that I gotta tear it down again to do it. But since I know the process, should take less than an hour next time. The headlights are really nice...6000K.

I got my hid's finished up just a few hrs ago...love em!! On your high's, its not just the polarity needing switched is it? I didnt do my highs (just lows and fogs) but I did run into that with one of the lows...just flipped the plug around at the ballast and viola!! Brightness!

Yeah, it wasn't the polarity as I tried it. I think there is an issue with one of the wires as the pins were giving me issues. I'm gning to do the fogs too but not until after the high beams work. I also didn't like that the two kits are not the same.....just a plain box ballast with no writing on it and no mounting bracket like the H11 Kit had.

Like it said in the first post....CAI from Steve White Motors. You can find it off ebay...was about $425~ shipped from East coast to West. Be careful removing the IAT sensor....as careful as I was I still broke the plastic tip off mine and went and bought another one....$40.

I figured you had tried it...just thought I'd throw it out there. And mine were the same way as far as the writing and bracket go. I ended up using the bracket for the fogs ballast instead of the lows which is the kit that included it. Don't know what the difference is in the ballasts is exactly but the lows/fogs match perfectly and seem to be working great!! Guess I'll be ordering the highs next.....

Nah...sorry for the confusion. The fogs are H10's. Just meant the lows ballasts having writing/bracket and the fogs ballasts not having either.
