Question Mopar Sliding Tool Box

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone has the Mopar sliding tool box? I love the idea of being able to move the tool box to the back of the truck for easy access/ removal. The one that craftsman sells is nice but outrageously priced.

I've searched around the forum and I am kind of surprised that no one seems to have one. Did I miss anyone? I'd love a review from someone who owns one or at least has experience with one. Thanks.

I was wanting to get the toolbox as well. But the toolbox is 560 and the utility rails are another 250. Thats over 800 and way too high. I went by truck stuff and can get one for 350.

I have one. I like the functional aspect. It is wide and takes about a 1/3 of the bed. Because of the utility rails there is about 3 inch space from the front of the bed to the chest which is wasted space. What I like about it is the box sits below the bed rim. However, it does make it difficult to reach the latch versus one that sits on the rim of the bed. The build is nice, welds uniform, the lid is reinforced, but for the price should have been insulated. A minor detail is that the key lock is on the passenger side and not the driver side. Overall happy with purchase.

max - I feel ya. That is pretty pricey for a tool box. Especially since I set out looking for a black one anyhow.

vader - Thank you so much for first hand info. It does sound like it has a lot of positives. But, the cost and how much of the bed you give up is making me think DeeZee here I come.
