Smile Captops/Covers

Hi all, being very new to all of this and being English living in Germany I find it all a bit frightening at the moment as I have placed an order for a 2010 ST 5.7 Hemi Ram.

The reason for getting one was that I could fit my whole family in it and actually have a boot/flatbed for everything else including my Siberian Husky Mya.

Now that I have ordered the truck I need to start thinking of the captop and covers as I need to get one shipped over here to Germany, what I wouldn't mind is a captop and a tarp/canvas cover I see it being called a torneu or something like that. Obviously I've just put a deposit down on a large vehicle so the cheaper the better!

Thanks in advance.

Awesome, hope you enjoy the truck when you get it. Please take a post some photos when you do get it, we'd love to see some of the changes they have to make to get it legal for Europe.

If you're looking for something cheaper than a full fiberglass top, then you might want to check out the canvas tops. They're great in that when you need it you can put it on to use, but when you don't they come off and store in your garage or closet. Generally I'm a fan of captops, even though they've fallen out of style here in the states. However, the 4th Gen RAM's huge tailgate makes the way they line up the rear glass look just out of place. I've seen a couple of companies that do a decent job, but most don't look that good.

Check out the Softopper, a canvas captop: http://www.softopper.com/

Bakflip G2. About $6-$700. Excellent bit of kit.

Plan B - rip the hoops & tilt off an old Army Land Rover and you're good to go
