Default 2010 Factory Alarm

I bought a 2010 Dodge Ram SLT 2500 Crew Cab 4 x 4 Big Horn Pick Up last December. I was told it had a factory alarm. It would set using the key fab. I remember the alarm going off a couple of times and the dash display indicated the alarm had gone off. Just recently I realized the alarm is not working. Dodge says my truck did not come with an alarm. I`m really confused. Any advice?

Lock it with the fob and come back awhile later and unlock with the key, if it has an alarm and is working, it should go off when you open the door. If the build sheet states that is has an alarm then you need to press your dealer to either fix it or put one on.

Open your driver's window and lock the truck. Then reach in and open the door. If you have an alarm, it will go off.

I could not believe my $30,000 truck did not come with a factory alarm so I went to Car Toys and had them install an alarm and added the tilt sensor and glass break sensor. Sucked to have to pay after the fact but I feel the alarm is better than the factory alarm would have been and I know the wheel;s are protected as well as interior. I have seen to many windows broken without the alarm even going off.

Yeah, I guess I didn't explain that part. You can watch the light go from blinking fast to a slower blink to know it is armed.
