Default New Chrome Bumpers?

I was pointing out some rust spots that are beginning on my rear bumper to my dealer yesterday. The service manager told me that Chrysler is well aware of the problem and is switching either manufacturers of the bumper or technique of manufacture (can't remember which he said), and possibly issuing some sort of RRT in the future.

Can anyone else confirm this? I would rather make sure I get one of the chrome bumpers from the new batch if I am going to get it replaced, so I might as well hold off for a bit if this is true......

BOUT TIME! GLAD THEY ARE LISTENING... I'm hoping that this RRT is true, and I as well would like to bump to get primed or painted bumpers...

I would love to switch to body coloured bumpers myself....I have read quite a few posts though from people whos dealer refused to do the upgrade even if the difference was paid between chrome and painted.

I do not have rust but have black spots, especially around the tow hooks on the front. I need to take it to the dealer to see what they say, but it looks like black paint overspray or the chrome job was not good. Anyone else see something like this.
