I'm a little slow, so can someone help me with this? What the bleep is StarScan? Is it in the truck already? What does it do? I can't decipher what I am finding on the web.

 

The question I have is: How would you select ACC and ON without the key fob?

Come on isn't the Challenger a low speed bus and the truck and high speed? So how would any parts that are on the bus in an Challenger work in the truck? What year vehicles and parts are you using 09, 10??

 

SHIELDSDB the star scan is a hand held device that enables the user to change different parameters in the oem computer ,that we cant, for example, they can do something as simple as reset the mil or check engine light,or put in the miles of your old PCM into a new one if you needed it, it can also download different settings for various options when you get them installed,like the DVD screens or if you install the remote start, they can make the computer enable it,so with one of these ,lots can be done to our trucks,they are going on e-bay for around 5000.00,last time I saw one,ver usefull if you know what you are doing.hope that made sense.

 

i doubt you can use the standard fobs. if you really want to see how far they work, hold the fob close to the keyhole, use your finger to turn it, it only works within a few inches and will have a message on the evic that says damaged fob or something.

all the equipment to lengthen that distance and compatibility raises concerns in my book.

ill stick with the dumb fob for now.

I actually found a Starscan on ebay for 2500, would love to pick one up....wouldn't have to put up with dealers again lol.

my dealer cant even fix the overhead ambient green led... im not trusting them with this
