Default Soft opening tailgate?

Is there any "ready kits" with some kind of cylinder for "soft opening" tailgate for the 2009/2010 Dodge Ram 1500?

I got a tailgate assist a couple months ago, i believe you're talking about the same thing. Here's what I ended up buying for my 09 Ram, works great too...

The cylinder you are referring to works great I have one but I got it on ebay don't exactly remember where but you can search it out. The dealer also has them if you buy it and let them put it on you get a year warranty. I replaced mine once already and we don't use the tailgate often. It comes down nice and slowly.
I just realize something I got mine at the dealer I was thinking of something else I bought for my other pickups tailgate sorry. The dealer one is the same..in fact I think it is DEEZEE that I got there.

Does it make it any harder to close, or is it even noticable?

Also 72combo...do you have a link to the power locking tailgate you installed?

It's no harder to close and http://www.truckaccessorizer.com/sto..._powergate.htm

It's 89 bucks. Pace Edwards Electric tailgate lock.

Now you have to have keyless entry in your truck already for this to work.

Problem you will have is finding the specialized nut you need for the bottom anchor point of the cylinder. Good luck. For 49 bucks or I am sure you can find it for less in the US it is not worth the hassle of trying to be sure you get the parts. There are some foam deals that go on the wire supports to keep them in the right place when closing. The top nut gets replace by a nut that can hold the wire support and the ram also. Like I said hardly worth the effort.,,,good luck.

Add the cost of shipping it to Sweden, since I'm not in the US....

The bottom nut is no problem, I've looked at the installation manuals (both video and the "sheet", think that if I can find the cylinder/shock for a good price I'll get to do this without any problem!
