The cap, the truck requires 5w-20 for the MDS to work.

 

I'd go with the cap. The one time I bought the oil from the dealer they put in 5-40 and everything I've ever read says 5-40.

Nice truck by the way. Interesting how it doesn't say RAM 2500 like all the other Mexican RAMs we've seen on here. Guess there's no consistency in badges in Mexico either.

Hemi's need 5W-20, like the cap says. Chrysler de Mexico is wacked... Trust me I've dealt with some of their engineers...

 

Even my kids Avenger with 2.7 uses 5w20. He got an oil change at Lube It in Canada here and the guys there said most cars now use the 5w20. Even other brands.
