Limited slip?
Thanks guys, good info. I will look into the order option but i didn't think incentives carried over to time of delivery. With the others manufactures you only get what is effect at the time of delivery. The deals are sweet right now so you guys know that compromise is tempting right now.
CarterT1975- thanks for the tip- i am in San Diego county but may travel that far to get what i want.
Looking for more opinions as well....

It actually may be too late to order a 2010. Usually the cutoff is the end of April. Might be different this year due to all the issues at the beginning of the model year with parts. But for sure the incentives carry over till you receive the truck.
is beaten to death but.......yes the limited slip is better but dont think the opens plus esp cant get you where you need to go. I use this truck to get to the resort in tough road conditions and it is flawless. again the 392 option is good but until someone on here proves the lsd gets them somewhere the open cant the only thing you have is a bunch of people making assumptions. I have read reports from people on here who seems to be true off roaders with others vehicles that have lockers and stated their open system has worked well.
Crown isn't what it used to be. The huge new dealership with the huge lot packed full is no more. The former used car/fleet building is closed and looking to be leased out.
As CarterT mentioned though, they took real good care of me, and the service is first rate.

I'm a believer in LSD. We own a place in S Tx that has a 12mile dirt road going in and of course the entire ranch is all dirt roads. When it rains down there the whole place is like a mud bog. I used to buy 4wd just so I could get in and out if it rained, but realized that I was paying a lot of money and spending more on maint just for those few times it rained. In 99 when I bought my QC I decided to take a chance and went back to 2wd w/lsd. I was very impressed with the results. I've driven out of the ranch after a 13" rain storm with a 16' trailer and 4 four wheelers and as long as I kept up my momentum never came close to getting stuck. They have improved the roads some in the last 20 yrs but this road is still not maintained by the county since the land is privately owned. Most of the maint comes from the gas companies that drill and produce the natural gas down there. They are also the ones that tear the hell out of the roads as well with the big trucks and rig haulers. Someone said earlier that you should look at the type of driving you will be doing. If you think you will need 4wd and LSD, then hold out and get it. If your not into heavy duty muddin and rock crawlin, then you probably wouldn't miss the LSD. Both of my 4wd Dodges were 3:55's no LSD and I only got the ramcharger stuck 1 time, but was able to back right out and try another route. Good luck, and my vote would be to special order exactly what you want too. The wait sucks for sure, but the payoff is big when your truck shows up. Jeff.
