Default Exhaust

First time looking at the site. Pretty impressed. Im looking for some suggestions for a new muffler. I just picked up a 2010 Dodge after having an 02 for the last 8 years. Flowmaster vs. Dynamax vs. Magnaflow. Just looking for a muffler not a cat back system. What do you think?

Maybe a Mod could move this into the regular 4th Gen forum instead of the FAQ section?

FWIW I've done all my research and am going with Magnaflow....

Magnaflow wins hands down. You can select sound by length of muffler.
Magnaflow sounds better out the back, and much quieter in cab.

I purchased a 24" Magnaflow just the muffler and had a shop weld it in. There is a mufflex out there as well, some guys have had luck with them and others have had the clamp on's rattle off. Personally I would weld it on. Go on you tube and type in magnaflow mufflers for Dodge RAM and you can hear them.

The 24" Magnaflow was perfect for me, nice rumble upon start up and then idles out with a deeper rumble then on the highway there is no drone.

You can get a muffler kit for the single or dual exhaust from Mufflex. They use Magnaflow mufflers for their exhaust kits. They have various sizes depending on how mellow/aggressive you want your exhaust to sound. The 14 Series are the loudest, and I believe the 24 is the most mellow. Obviously it's all about preference so you need to decide what's best for you. With the mellow ones you will have less of a drone in the cab, with the aggressive ones it's going to sound very nice but you're going to hear a bit of a drone inside.

flowmaster and dynomax are definitely louder than magnaflow. coming from personal experience the longest magnaflow is the way to go for the least drone.

Sorry for the long delay in the response! Been on vaca and work has been non stop! But haven't noticed any MPG increase. It has a nicer rumble than the stock for sure, decent rumble on start up, quiets out when the RPM's drop below 1000.... I'm happy.
