Default Factory Side Step brackets

I am thinking about doing a 3" body lift on my 2010 Sport. Aside from the issue on the tire size I'm going to run with the factory rims, the other issue that I know I will encounter is that the body will be lifted 3", clearing the larger tires, but my steps will remain at the factory height (since they are mounted to the frame).

Has anyone ever installed a body lift on their ram? Have you ever seen a bracket made to raise the steps up 3"? I'm thinking this is something I am going to need to have custom made at a local machine shop, and shouldn't really be that difficult. I'm thinking like 1/2-3/4 thick steel brackets that mount in the original holes and have the same setup 3" higher for the steps to mount back on to...

Let me know if anyone has any experience in what I'm looking to do.

The factory steps mount to the body, not the frame. So they will lift right with it.
