Question U Connect Microphone Problem!!! Please Post!

My truck has been doing this since it was new AND I don't even know the problem.

When using U-Connect the sound over the speakers is PERFECT, Im totally happy however People say I cut out every THRID Word I say!! Its driving me nuts.

Has Anyone else ever heard of this or have had it happen??? Im almost thinking Its my cell phone but If I turn off my Bluetooth and use just the phone, it works perfectly!

Another thought my wife seems to think that I cut out a bit less when Im not talking "loud" or yelling. Where is the microphone???? Mabe I need to direct my voice into it more? I doubt it but Im willing to try anything at this point seeing how this option is offically completly usless to me working like this!

No you need to just talk normal and the mic is in the mirror if it was installed in the factory.Just a couple little holes. Try training it to learn your voice. When you yell or talk loud it cuts out cuz I talk loud my wife loud but softer and I hear her great but she has difficulty with me. Give the training thing a whirl....get your manual out I don't know how to do it.

+1 ^^

Even talking normal I get alot of people saying I am talking loud when they are having a conversation with me. Its a great little mic, it pics up everything perfectly if you just speak in a normal voice as if the person on the other end of the phone were sitting next to you

I thought so too, but they tell me they have turned their volume almost all the way down and it still sounds like I am shouting into the phone. No complaints here, I would much rather have a mic that picked up too well than one that you had to yell into

Make sure your windows are closed, air turned off or low but you probably already know this.

I've been accused of yelling into it too when I'm just talking- must just be sensitive.

Mine did the same thing when I bought my truck, I even changed out my phone once. Turns out my problem was the bluetooth module in the dash. Dealer changed it out and been working great ever since.

I'll have to check that out. I tried to pair my phone and had mixed results. It paired and would make the call but most of the time I could hear them but they could not hear me. One call worked perfectly for about 10 seconds.

After the call was dropped I got a message on my phone that blue tooth signal was weak. Phone is not on UConnents list so I blamed phone. Now maybe I should have the chip in the dash checked.

My phone is the priority one phone in our truck just means if more of us who have phones paired to that radio mine takes priority anyway....whenever someone is on the phone with their phone and they pull up to the house my phone takes over their call LOL. I am the KING
