Why did you go this route versus the traditional block of steel on top of the shock to raise your truck?

Are you a bit worried about the shudder you may get in 4x4 mode? You may want to keep your old units just in case. Hope it works.

yeah, i do plan on keeping it. but if i do get the shudder, i can easily take it right back and get them to fix the stuff. with where i am geting it done at, if i ever have any problems, i can take it back there any time for the free fix.

Yes local shops know how these trucks are set up by now especially family owned shops. I deal with a place where I live. Never an issue when going for front end work or alignments what have you. They even made some custom springs for our pool like 20 years ago, I brought one in the shape we needed ready to bust but he got measurement from it and called me said cant do it. So when I went to pick up the old one for reference some foreign guy that works there comes from the back and says to the owner, You need one of those made? He says we can't make that curve in a spring. The guy says I can...owner says yes but how long will it take. He says you need one? No Two. He says 1 hour. So he took it I watched this guy put so much time and effort into this thing like he was proud. First one done and lookin perfect. 40 minutes. Second one done in 15. Cost me with the steel and time like 150. But saved me from having a pool company cut cement out etc. Man they springs could send you to the moon. A good 5 fee higher of a jump, Kinda scarey at first. I went back there at quitting time and talked to the guy who made them and gave him a hundred dollar bill. He would not accept it but he said he will accept a ride home. No problem, I went in had a few beers he told me how he enjoys helping people on jobs like that but the boss sometimes gets pissed off because he doesn't take enough time LOL Well when I left I left the hundred bucks with his wife. I told her to tell him he deserves it and more or she can keep it for herself her choice. She said no she was gonna go buy him some new underclothes because his are all burned from sparks. Long story but sometimes local shops are the way to go.

I was gonna put polished checkerboard in my bed of my 72 it has a 88 box and it would roughly same square footage, but it was gonna be 200 bucks. A place called Metal Mart not sure if they are in the US or anywhere else but they seem like a big outfit. This was in Windsor , On
