I received my lockpick v3 today. Has anyone hooked one of these up. Usually most items that deal with power tell you to unhook the battery cable or remove the fuse. Either I am blind and like I could have missed the part where they say to remove sources of power like I didn't see the phone number that the nice guy in the post below found for me.(I changed this complete post) Anyway what do you think, remove the fuse at least?

When I did mine in two different trucks I had forgot to disconnect the battery and nothing bad happened, but to be on the safe side you may want to.

 

Well with the REN you are to take out the fuse for the radio, I was thinking that would be good enough. Funny they don't mention it at all anywhere maybe I will give them a call and see if it matters. Or maybe the way they say you have to have the jumpers set before you plug in the wiring...it must be hot how could it change anything if there is no power? Another phone call.

 

If I recall when I hooked my up it was just plug and play, no splicing needed (except for the rearview - that had power/ground)
