Looks like ill be going with a Bighorn rather than the sport..I checked out both today and felt that i would destroy the sport painted bumper with time..

Tomayto Tomato... every vehicle on the planet these days is monochrome! Its cheaper to make that is why chrome disappeared. If your after the 'truck' look its chrome. If your after the hot rod truck look its monochrome. Chrome just says 'truck' and ads a little 'old flair'. JMO

I had the same issue back in March. Either a bighorn or sport. When I actually saw them in person at the dealer, it was easy. Got the sport.

If you're ever going to see a trail with brush or you're a tailgater, go chrome. If not, go with the one that looks better in your opinion.

FWIW, I did the same thing as bigtone and compared the two in person. Bought the Big Horn. Thought the chrome looked great with the mineral grey. I've had zero rust issues in the last year, but I live in a pretty arid climate.

I like the ram in both trims, they look great. I have chrome, obviously cause I went with the Laramie. I live in New England and the winter roads are nasty with rock salt and sand. With the Sport it would take some time but small chips will appear, I would go with the 3M protection. My Laramie showed two little brown spots after this winter so I used Mothers chrome polish and they vanished. Either way you're driving the best pick-up around right now, just keep up with minor maintenance and your truck will stay looking good and the other guys driving the other brands will still have the "damn thats a bad-*** truck" look on their faces!
