How do you change the shifter knob?

How do you change the shifter ****?
I saw a picture on this forum of a T-shifter in a new Dodge Ram where the shifter in in the center console instead of on the steering column. I wanted to switch my stock one out but cannot figure out if the shifter **** is threaded or nut and bolt. any help out there?
