Default Running wires

What is the best way to run wires thru the firewall. I poked a hole in that big rubber thing with the majority of wires but then I was told I should have just cut those ti ts sticking out on the right side if you look from inside and then run the wires thru there. I was worried on the other side it didn't exactly feel empty going thru there. I have to run one video cable and a power and ground wire for my cams. I find there is way too much wiring length with the LOck Pick I don't like extra wire hanging around.

When I wired in my underbody lights, I took out the rubber piece that is around the e brake cable, and ran 4 wires up through there then put that rubber piece back in, and then put a little silicone around the rubber piece just to make sure it seals up. When I did my other set of under body lights, I went to a Napa auto parts store and bought one of those little rubber gramet like things, and drilled a hole in my passenger side floor board. Ran the wires through that gramet, and put the gramet in the hole I drilled, and put silicone around it to seal it better. As for grounding, and extra wires, I just put all the extra wires under the carpeting and you can't even tell they are under there. The grounding, I found a ground in the truck already and just added to that one.

I had already run 4 wires thru the little tit on the main wiring harness so there was no way to get the video cable thru there without rewiring everything. There is a plastic cover on the firewall where the clutch would go thru if there was a clutch. Drilled a hole thru that and ran the video cable and power wires thru this with a little silicone fo seal it up. Worked like a champ and was real easy to drill thru.

I am sorry I forgot where I left this LOL. Hey Thanks I think I will use the clutch plate as you called it in fact I might take it off if easy and put the plugs I need right there for my front and rear cameras I need to run 2power and 2 ground but they are like 18 guage and one rca cable and then put a splitter on the outside. Is there any way to weather proof a rca connection other than tape.

you could either use heat shrink tube and put that over it, but then you won't be able to disconnect it unless you cut the heat shrink off. Another possibility is see if you can find an inline fuse that has a snap holder that is big enough to hold the rca cable. Personaly, I would probably just put a heat shrink over it. The heat shrink isn't that tough to cut off if you need to.

That was my plan it can always be just cut around or pull hard it will come apart if it is that important to get it apart. But once together it's gonna stay there, I might even use 3/4 inch wire loom. Thanks for the ideas. Keep em comin.
