Angry Kinda pissed off right now.

well...
i have been working on my truck for the last 2 days trying to get it all cleaned up and looking really good. My sister is graduating from high school and for prom all the seniors and there dates get nice vehicles and drive the town and go get pictures taken, seeing as i am from Alberta which is countryville, it usually ends up being a lot of nice trucks. So i have been tinting the windows these last two days as well as de-badging.
I wanted to make it look really clean for this occasion so i thought i should remove the mud flaps....
I went to remove my plastic dodge sport model mud-flaps and when i removed the front passenger one i noticed that it had scratched the paint right through down to the metal. I took of the rear passenger one and it was the same thing!!
I did not even want to continue to see if the driver side was the same thing.

my question is... warrantee? will they fix my paint? or did i get royally screwed?

thats my rant...

This thread was posted not long ago about molded flaps and paint damage. Maybe it contains some answers for you. Good luck....

if they were installed by the dealer then they should fix it. I just took mine off yesterday since I wanted to replace them with the rubber flaps and they had scuffed the paint on mine too. But I will be able to buff mine out since they are not as bad as yours. Let this be a warning to others for the future. Sorry to hear that it is so bad.

I am shocked. (a little sarcasim)

No, warranty will not likely cover since it is an aftermarket add on.

Mine were installed by the dealer you think that would matter?

if they were installed by your dealer when you bought your truck then the dealer should fix any problems. All mopar parts installed when you purchased your truck should be covered by at least a 3 year 36000 mile warranty. At least they are at my dealership.
