Smile MDS question

Does anyone else experience a hesitation or slight jerking feeling when driving in the city? I do not know how else to describe it. I am sure it is due to the MDS/ECO feature. It does not really bother me as it is very slight. Today was the first time I got on it to see what kind of power it had and it DOES HAVE POWER! Takes off like a "Bat Out Of Hell". I love it.

It could be the MDS kicking in and out. Does it seem to relate to when the light goes on and off?

Yea, thats what the MDS does at low RPM(City driving) Think for a minute, a 5,000 pound truck is going from 8 cylinders to 4 cylinders to pull a vehicle.Besides, if thats your only gripe, feel good about it.

You could also think like this I have an 09 RAM CC same weight and changing in and out of MDS is seamless absolutely nothing noticeable at all. I would take you truck in and just mention it, still under warranty doesn't hurt.

I thought there was a TSB covering a drivability issue for MDS. Mine is smooth as silk going from 8/4/8. even in city driving. I had mine flashed a while back, can't remember the TSB number and can't get to my records right now.

I feel this as well. I'd be interested in this flash. Does anyone have the TSB number for this?

The lower the final gear the more noticeable any engine torque change would be.

I can't feel or hear the change at all with the 3.55 gear. It's totally seamless.

Thanks for the info. I may mention it to the dealer at some point but for now it does not really bother me. As I said it is very slight. No gripes here. It still has allot of break in time left.

Does my 2010 RAM 1500 4.7L V8 have MDS??? No one answered this when I asked before... I have an "eco" light on mine and it turns on and off according to how much gas I'm giving it...
