Rattles and squeeks not covered under warrantee?
According to the service dept., the reason that they were not covered under warranty is because there were no part failures or replacements. She appologized for not telling me about that before the work was completed. She tried getting it covered under both the bumper to bumper and my max care but neither would accept. She ended up reducing the labor hours down considerably. It wasn't free but it was acceptable to me.
If anyone has rattles they want fixed under warranty I would suggest finding a missing bolt or something that they have to replace for it to be covered(ha ha).

That makes no sense. I have had rattles fixed before under war. The failure was either poor workmanship, an engineering issue, or a part failure. That is covered. I wouldn't pay a dime.
Okay they still have to check to find out what is rattling to know if it is a defective part, so in essence they have to find the rattle to absolutely know that it's not from a defective part. So then they can just tell you what the rattle was. This makes no sense to me, a rattle is caused by improper procedure during installation, a piece of foam tape gets missed.Something as stupid as that...why would that not be covered? I think that must be a US change I have had rattle fixed under warranty on other vehicles. Not the RAM, nothing so far but I think mine would be covered.
My feeling on all of this is there are some dealer are operating under their own rules. I called the dealership just now for fun this why I am editing this. Anyway I told them that there was a rattle in my dash and could I bring it in. They said sure, when do I want to make appt. I asked is it warranty she took my info then said yes covered under 3yrs 60000kms since I purchased and extended warranty it will be covered. I said what if it turned out to be just a wire harness needed to be wiretied or attached to keep it from rattling. She said it's covered. I said thank you I was just checking, she said okay no problem, so do I still need appt. I said no I figured out the problem but wanted to know for if there was a next time.

I have had rattles fixed on Fords but normally only during the first year or 12k miles, called an adjustment period in Ford's lingo. This even though I had 3 year/36K miles warranty and also had extended warranty. Just switched to Dodge so don't have any experience with them yet. No rattles yet - knock on wood.
sounds like your dealership is making thier own rules up. My dealership worked on my squeek for free. I would go to someone higher up and complain. If you raise enough hell, they will repay your money back, you could have used that money for a MOD or something damn.
