I want to put on 33" Tires on 20" rims on a 10 ST/SXT but can't figure out why my friends 09 Sport with 33" 24s has a higher suspension. I'm assuming, though my SXT has heavy duty shocks.. his has some sort of stock leveling kit, stiffer sport suspension or longer struts/shocks.. There is about an inch difference and my front end is lower than the rear. While the sport looks even and higher. Does anyone know the difference, since I assume the axles are the same and it must be a suspension difference?
"Higher suspension"? With your stock 17s and 17 rubber your truck will be lower that his 24s with 33 tires. There is no difference in suspension between a SLT, SXT and Sport.
If your friends truck sits level then it's been modified. The stock rear sits 23.7" higher than the front, give or take around 20" due to measuring technique.

What? The stock rear sits over 23" higher than the front? do you mean 23.7mm???

Your truck will take 33s with no issue.
So the sport can run 33" tires stock and my sxt runs 31.7" tires stock.. If there's no difference in suspension than it must be all in the computer? If I put on 33" tires my speedo will be off a few..I just reprogram and we're good?
