As I was getting on the freeway yesterday I heard a ding and looked down and saw the infamous Check Engine Light was on....again. I also noticed that I had lost my Fuel Saver light - the light that just got programmed........man, I just can't catch a break.

 

Did you check the evic settings to see if its still their? If its not their, back to the dealer

 

Any idea what the MIL is? Maybe it's not going into Fuel Saver mode because of the other issue.

 

maybe when the check engine light goes on it shuts the fuel saver light off as was previously stated or is the fuel saver light in the same spot as the check engine light

 

Market guy, DONT WORRY....the light will come back on when the CEL is fixed or if you just clear it, either way, mine was the heated o2 sensor, wasnt working, so the light would stay off untill it was fixed,it just wont go into 4 mode untill

 

I checked my EVIC to make sure that the light was turned on. It was so I figured, as mentioned above, once the CEL is cleared the FS light will come back.

It's just whole inconvenience thing, Dodge had my truck last week for 3 days, now I have to bring it back for an unrelated issue. The real pisser is last time my truck was clean and shiny, when I picked it up it had a layer of dust on it so thick I needed to clean the windsheild with the washers before I drove off. Now it's clean again.....arghh! I hate my dealership, but it's the only one that's convenient to me unless I want to drive off to BFE.

 

I would make them wash it for you it was dirty when you pick it up and clean when you entered.

 

UPDATE: I went to dinner tonight and my CEL was out and my FS light was back. I think my truck is either possessed or it's just f-ing with me.

 

Easier said that done. The way my truck was cleaned before they sold it to me was so bad that I had to rewash it the next day. It's probably better that they don't wash it.

 

Mine was half armoralled and half not. Probably because I told him not to do it just clean it for prep I don't want to slide around or go blind from dashboard glare. Probably half done he told them to stop because only the pasenger side was done so I had to do the rest.
