Default Mirror 'puddle lights - how long?

How long should the 'puddle lights' in the mirrors stay on after you get out of the vehicle? Several times in the last couple of days since I picked up the truck I go out to the garage a few minutes (more than 2, less than 10??) after exiting the vehicle and the puddle lights are on. Seems like they should turn off on their own after maybe a minute or two. I couldn't find anything in the f'n DVD manual about them.

Thanks,
Rob

good question... first off i rarely lock my truck, and i have witnessed them going off within 2 seconds to staying on for 15 minutes on several occasions. Dealer said they found no setting or nothing wrong with them and even played the "i left my lights on" or something.... would like to know if its happening to other ppl as well...

You can adjust the settings via the EVIC.

Mine shut off fairly quickly...like 30 secs, or less.

The only adjustment in the EVIC I have seen is for the headights staying on. Nothing for the puddle lights.

Go to SET UP scroll down until you see ILLUMINATED APPROACH and select OFF or 30-60-90 seconds.

Well, mine sometimes stay on for way longer than 90 seconds. Last night after I closed the doors I was still doing stuff in the garage and they stayed on for almost 10 minutes. They do eventually go off by themselves, it just seems random. Rob

Illuminated Approach is for the headlights. Might also control the puddle lights but I don't want the headlights to come on.
