First oil change how long to wait?

what is the routine again to reset the oil change indicator?

something like presssing the pedal down 3 times or something?

I did my first change at around 2000 as i do with any new car i own , then from there on out every 3000 miles

Besides looking in your owners manual, turn your key on the "On position" thats right before you engage your starter.Don't laugh, I just turned the accessory on and tried the pedal 3 times before I checked the manual. Pump the pedal 3 times, turn the switch off and then start the vehicle.The light should come off.
