Default "Glued" carpet under dash

Has anyone had problems with the "carpeted" area under the passenger side dash. I have had the "carpeted" cover in front of the passenger seat fall off due to what I presume is heat-related glue failure. It's only "glued" on with "black tar" kinda glue.

Are there any others out there having similar problems? I'm planning on making a trip to a dealer to address.

Thanks!

I have this same problem, that glue is heavy duty (yet still failed) and made a mess of the floor mat. Let me know what you find out from the dealer.

I tried everything to get that stupid piece of carpet to adhere to that plastic box/housing under the dash. Finally gave up after it started to stick to the floormats and carpet. Grabbed a pair of scissors and just cut it off.

Haven't missed it.

Yes I had this problem, dealer said Chrysler said do away with it(I was worried removing it would void warranty on air), They did it and detailed carpet and door panel, also cleaned the black box so no more will drip
