Break in opinions..
I will possibly stir up the hornets nest with this but any thoughts on how to break in these new engines - hard versus easy?
As a long time dirt biker there is a bit of a consensus that newer tech engines dont need the easy break in like thye used; but dealers still suggest it to be safe (CYA). A lot of evidence that (at least on dirt bikes) the "drive it like you stole it" hard break in seats the pistons seals and crosshatch better.

I see not reason just drive it normal , don't take it on the track right away but even the manual tell you to kick it in the butt sometimes and dont drive the same speed for long periods of time. If you saw the way they run them at the factory, Very first start up, drive maybe 50 feet depending on plant to a the ROLLS where they proceed to run it thru the gears WOT sometime more than once if it fails...I have seen the speed hit 100mph so from that I think just drive normal as a technician told me once or a salesman I forget he said when I asked just drive the way you are going to most often the computer will get used to the way you drive and you will find you like the way it adapts to you............so whatever. I say what happens with 2 drivers...my wife drives I have to say she has HEMI fever and I hear those duals coming down the road same time as the dogs now. Anyway I drive rarely so when I do it gets a workout. Somebody has to blow the carbon out of it. I am so wanting to put a posi in it though. I love the feeling like in my 72, I can get outta the hole better than the RAM...I think no official race yet. Gotta video that one.
