I used to work for Chrysler in the a few plants and he is correct. They don't put that on black trucks do they, it's not on mine.

If its removed, how much of a sticky mess is left underneath and how hard is it to clean off....i want to remove mine but not if it looks like crap underneath

It comes off easy, just a bit of googone or wd40 on a rag after. I see on my window sticker window blackout tape delete

Lets see a pic with it off. Mine has a little bubble near the seam. I may want to remove mine also. I have the deep water blue. Any suggestions? I am afraid I will screw it up if I try to remove it.

yeah my truck doesn't have that its the same color as my paint which is sweet i was all ready to rip it off ha.

thats what im afraid of screwing it up ,or it already being messed up underneath

it is just vinyl tape you cant really mess it up. there is paint under it.

just did mine took me about 15 min, got the vinyl off very easy then used goo gone to take away the mess.....looks so much better
