Default 2009 dodge ram 1500

has anyone had this happen?
every mornin when i fire the truck up the engine has a hard time starting like theres not enough fuel at the injectors.
i took it to the dealer and they ran diagnostics on it and of course they couldnt find anything wrong.
well this has been goin on for a month or so now and last saturday i started it and the engine died i tried again within a few seconds and it fired up like it should but it still continues to have a hard time starting.

any info would be appreciated.

Have you checked the battery? The Idle Air Control Solenoid (IAC) located on the Throttle Body? The Fuel pressure (Need a Gauge for that)? The Alternator output (Volts before and after its running)? The spark plugs? The dealership should have checked the fuel pressure and noted it on the diagnostics sheet. Needs to be checked with a gauge, not a computer. Its an 09 so the IAC should not be that dirty, but check it anyway. Fuel, Spark, and Air are the three things you need, and the correct timing of course. Trucks computer does that though. If battery is week or not being charged it can cause many things, but will usually throw multiple codes. Try a different battery from a friend or another car to eliminate that.

Also the camshaft position sensor or the crankshaft position sensor can cause starting issues. I forgot to mention those. They are notorious for that on the 3.7 ltr jeeps which are the same engine as the 4.7. Not sure what you are running, 3.7, 4.7 or 5.7? They sometimes throw all kinds of codes or none at all.

Does the truck seem to have low power once it is running or does it run normal? I once had a Dakota that would do this, but it was because I put a high flow exhaust on it and it would burn up the preheating element in the 02 sensor and it never through a code.

It still will more than likely have the Cam and Crank sensors (most engines these days do for timing & firing order), but usually the dealership does not do jack unless it throws a code.

Well just like I thought the dealer couldnt find anything wrong AGAIN.
Im pretty sure they checked all the above because when I went down there
yesterday they had it all tore apart.
How do you get the truck to where they deem it a lemon and give me a new one or my money back??

Usually when it has been brought in three times for the same thing, but were unable to fix it. I think each state may have their own Lemon Laws though. Very tricky process to get through.

I believe they will find it. As I said, Fuel, Air, and Spark along with timing are what you need and it is not getting one of them. As someone else in this forum said "Its to bad that most dealerships hire technicians now a days rather then Mechanic/Technicians". If their computer does not tell them what is wrong then they say "We Can`t Find Anything Wrong, Take it home and bring it back if it does it again". If they really checked the fuel pressure and it is Ok then It has to be Timing/Spark. I donnot think it would be the IAC. I am new to the Hemi so not sure it has a Throttle Position sensor. I have not really looked at my Hemi set up to hard.

Have they tried to replace the ECM (computer)? It controls timing/spark.
