JRI:

Thanks for the info from the manual. I now see where you are coming from. However, I tend to interpret it differently. The ECO light, by that description, does not == MDS. ECO will be on in conditions where MDS is not always on. MDS can only turn on in certain speed ranges and (supposedly) only with a warm engine. But ECO comes on at other times.

So, I guess the best way to sum this up is that if you see the ECO light on it is likely that MDS is activated, but not in all cases.

And that really answers my original question. I was curious if there was a true, dedicated MDS light or not, and the answers above tell me people were just going by the ECO light. Good enough for me, I just didn't want to miss out on some special light that I couldn't seem to find. :-)

Thanks,
Rob

I have a 2009 Dodge Ram CC Laramie and I know when it is in Fuel Saver mode. Not just by the light but the sound of the truck. I have a Mufflex DOD24M and you can hear the pitch change.

I'll can live with that as I'm not in a position to argue it to that fine a point.

If you don't want to see the fuel saver light just put the gear selector in 5 instead of D. That will turn off the FS light.
