My truck is basically set up like what you want. I have a picture of it in my signature. However I had an 09 ST with the greey bumpers and I painted them white to match the truck. I then put mopar, laramie 20's on. I attached a few pictures for you to see.

Seems like it would have been cheaper and easier to buy the SLT that you seem to want.

Thanks a lot davis. Your truck looks good.

And, I really don't think it would have been cheaper to get an SLT. That would be a lot more expensive.

Price difference between a base ST quad cab (3.7L) and a base SLT quad cab (4.7L) is $3,800.
If your ST has the 4.7 L then the price difference is $2800

Are you going to spend less than that? And once you're done replacing all the bumpers, you'll still be short all the extra equipment that the SLT came with.

You can do a lot of upgrading for $2800.

1) Paint bumpers - $500
2) New wheels - $800
3) REN MyGig - $300-500
4) Leveling kit - $100
5) Add Cruise Control - $20
6) Tint front windows - $80
7) Upgrade crap factory speakers - $300
8) Fender Flares - $200
9) Hood/Window Visors - $150
10) Diamond Plate Tool Box - $200
11) eBay special running boards - $150

Just one example...

And (in my opinion) you would have a MUCH better looking and more functional vehicle. This was my reasoning for buying an ST. And I'm happy I did.

Long as you are happy. Forgetting about the visual stuff - to me, the big things that the ST misses out on are:

1) Cloth seats
2) Rear power slider instead of fixed glass (that alone is worth a big chunk of the $2800 to me)
3) Keyless entry
4) Intermittant wipers
5?)No upper glove box? Seriously? That sounds like an odd manufacturing decision to save what? $10?

It all depends on what you want out of a truck. In my case, I could have gotten a truck with cloth seats for less than what I paid for mine, but I fell in love with the vinyl. They have come a long way with vinyl in the past decade...they look great and clean up SO easy. I could care less about a sliding back glass...I would never use it. I agree on keyless entry, but superior aftermarket kits are available for cheap. I installed mine (with an alarm) yesterday and have about a 300 yard range on the remote. Don't care about the glove box either. My truck has intermittent wipers...haven't seen a RAM, or any other late model for that matter, that didn't have them.

That said, different strokes for different folks. That's why they sell these things in thousands of different configurations.

nothing wrong with vinyl seats, my laramie has vinyl seats. Dodge puts them on there cheapest and most expensive models, everything in between is cloth
