Steering Box Stabilizer
Ok my truck that I just bought used has severe death wobble, anything over 45mph is a gamble with your life. If you ever experienced it you know exactly what I'm talking about. Has anyone ever had D/W and fixed it with a steering box stabilizer like this one http://www.dieselperformance.com/ind...uct/index/151P ?
I just replace the ujoint and wheel hub assembly on my passenger side, everything else under the front end seems to be in pretty good shape.

Tons of things can cause death wobble. In 09' they switched up the steering on the 2500's/3500's to help reduce the chances of it happening. Generally it will involve checking a lot of stuff for wear... Tie rod ends, ball joints, track bar bushings, steering stabilizer, alignment, control arm bushings, etc. etc. etc.
There are recalls and other information on what can be done to fix it. You might have better luck checking over in the 2nd or 3rd gen section depending on what year your truck is. If you have a '10 with death wobble you need to go back to the dealership and make them find out what is wrong with it.

Never on a 4th Gen, but I've got a good buddy with an '06 CTD 2500 that had it BAD! He spent over a grand at the stealership replacing front end parts that made NO difference. Did the steering box stabilizer and now, about a year later it has shown no signs of DW...
Crap put it in the wrong section. This should be in 3rd gen since my truck is an 03. Hammer can you move this or do I just need to delete the thread and start another in the appropriate section? Sorry.
