Default Best advanced tune for SC tuner

I just purchased the cortex tuner... i ran some quarter mile runs before i tuned it and i was running 15.5 and after i put 93 octane in and the 93 octane tune and was only running 15.7. WORSE! i don't know what the deal is.

I am not an expert, but this is what i did, you have to make sure the ENTIRE tank is 93, you cant just fill up after having another octane like 87/89, in there, then it will react better, I found on mine the 91 tune worked better in the 1/4 mile times, than the 93, and I had 93 to run the 91 tune, I dont believe that all the stations have perfect 93 octane,so that is why I run the 93 octane on the 91 tune, just my own preference. if our trucks fell ANY knock at all it will lower the performance,by timing. If you can find a station that sells real 93 ,make sure that is all the tank has in it, did you notice if the tires spun at all, if they do ,kiss the time good by, it WILL be slower, on the programmer,at a track it times it differently, not using an accelerometer.

I ran 14.97 on the 91 tune on my 2010 Sport RCSB. Didn't try stock.

Yes, I purchased the tranny options. I'm currently using the Superchips shift schedule with 8% TM and WOT shifts at 5850rpm. I plan on playing with the shift schedules when I have more time.

Curious to get updates. Although, truck is lifted. Performance is out da window.

Hey Caca I live in McAllen too, send me a PM and I'll meet you at the track. I have been itching to take my Ram and see what she will do. I have a 09 Hemi CC, white. What color is yours, I probably have seen you around?
