Default 2wd different size tires front and rear?

will i hurt anything or will i through a abs code if i have different size tires in the front axle vs the rear. I just got a flat on one of the stock 275/60/20 and was thinking of just changing both fronts over to 285/50 or 295/45. My truck is lowered so going with a smaller series. its about 180-200 out the door for a new Goodyear HP tire ran over something a put a nice gash in the middle of the tread.

The traction control and abs will freak out. There's a sensor at each wheel regardless of if you have 2wd or 4wd.

I don't think you would have a problem on a 2 wheel drive as long as the both fronts are the same and both rears are the same. Think most of the problems arise when running different sizes on the drive axle. I've run different size tires before on the front of a
2wd car with 4 wheel abs. Didn't through a code but this was about 7-8 years ago, the computer probably wasn't as sophisticated as they are now. Jeff.

I know someone with a Dakota who has ABS and he runs huge tires in back and a good 3 sizes different in front. With no issues.

YOU WILL NOT HAVE
ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL !...

I am currently running:
front: 295/45/R20 proxe st's
Rear: 305/50/R20 proxe st's

no sensor's going in the dash
& the trick is: " ur gona put more air in the front tire "
front: 40psi
Rear: 35psi

i also have the drop kit 2/4
& it looks very nice, since the
rear tire looks real beaffyyyy!.... lol....

It will throw off the speedometer. Not a big deal. I can mess with understeer/oversteer though
