Please explain the in's & out's of leveling to me.
"Death Wobble" is something different than what I think you mean. I suspect you read about the shimmy in 4x4. Best answer I've heard on that is a few unlucky people get that. Sorry but that is the best answer for that.
People are fitting 35's with leveling kits. seems that offset is the key to how much or if they rub. 20's with +18 seem to get a little rub at full turn, a guy with 8.5 wide 18 inch with +18 offset had no rub. Seems minor either way.
Two things decide if you need flares. The law and rock chips. See how much the tires stick out and if it's flinging stuff more than you or the law likes you better get some flares
oh, And your speedo is going to be off, yes. I've never fixed it so I'm not the best to chime in on this.

Torsion bars? On a 2009 Ram 1500?
BTW - the law in MN does not say anything about 1-2". It reads:
169.734 AUTOMOBILE FENDERS.
Every passenger automobile shall have fenders, or other devices, that are designed to prevent, as far as practicable, water, dirt, or other material being thrown up and to the rear by the wheels of the vehicle.

When you get a ticket like that, actually look up the statute that they listed. It's not uncommon for officers to write tickets for their interpretation of the law. I'm a jeep guy and I keep a page with all of the MN equipment laws in my glove compartment.
I used to drive this on the road and was pulled over for the fender flare law twice. Once I was written a ticket which the judge threw out because the MN law is vauge and unenforcable. It met the letter of any law that could be measured.

Read the Aspect Ratio/Rim Pan width section. A 35x12.5x17 would fall into the 50+ serier size. Meaning rim width should be 70% of tire width. 70% of 12.5" would be 8.75 which should be rounded to the nearest .5. In other words 17x9.
sorry to hijack this thread but hey whiteboy, what is that part number for the leveling kit. And if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost and how hard was it to install. I want to do that to my truck.
ive seen other people list cheaper labor prices, but thats install and wheel alignment

The ironic thing is he has a 2006, which also does not have them. 05 the last year of the "free" level.
