Seat Discoloring
I have a 2009 Laramie with leather, heated / cooled seats with 34,000+ miles in just over 1 year. I am aware of the seat wear and have been fortunate enough to have one that hasn't worn quite as bad as others I have seen on that thread. HOWEVER, I do have discoloration in the leather where my belt has rubbed against the leather! To the point I have tried numerous cleaners and NOTHING touches it. I asked the dealer and they stated that if it is due to clothing they cannot do anything warranty wise. In the 4 vehicles I have owned in the past 10 years I have NEVER had wear like this. My King Ranch, Tahoe, Denali or Yukon never showed this much wear in just over a year, afraid to imagine what it will look like in 2 years!! Does anyone else have this problem? If so, have you been able to clean it? Does anyone know of a "fix" by dodge? thanks for anything!
I would try one of those detailing shops that does interiors also, they might be able to fix you up redye the spot or something . They can fix chips in windshields what you have cannot be rocket science.
There was a post where someone had tan seats that were turning blue (from jeans I assume), a search should find it.
As far as I am concerned the heat/cool leater seats in the 09s were junk, seen plenty of issues about them. On the flip side I love the standard Sport seats. No they are not heated, but everytime I hear this I think of the Chevy commerical with Howie Long giving the Dodge guy a hard time about his heated wheel.... He does the best commercials, sadly I think he does not do them anymore.
