Default Occasional Keyless Entry Operation

It been posted in here before about the keyless entry system not working, but for the life of me, I can't seem to find any pattern of why and when it decides not to work.

Sometimes at home it'll take 15 -20 presses on the button to get the doors to open or lock, other times only one press (like it's supposed to do). It'll do the same thing at work too - and it always happens when it's my turn to drive for lunch too. There is no rhyme or reason why it just doesn't work at times. But it always works just fine when I take my truck in to the dealer - go figure?

Has anyone figured out why their keyless entry doesn't work all the time?

Take it in to the dealer. There is an RRT I think for your truck. 10-022. There might be an update for you Wireless Control Module.

I was told by the dealer next time I come in for something they will reload the fobiks and all should be good?

I have this problem too, but mine goes beyond the key fobs. Mine does this sometimes even with the buttons inside on the door. I can push the lock button multiple times and the doors won't lock. I've found that pushing lock-unlock-etc several times helps but it does get to be a pain in the rear at times. I haven't had my truck back to the dealer since I bought it a year or so ago, guess it's time to let her go for a couple of days and get any of the RRT's done. Jeff.

My RAM came without keyless entry, but I had Best Buy install a VIPIR one and it works just fine.
