Default Sport Performance hood

Has anyone attempted to make their Sport performance into a real ram air hood? Whats behind those plastic decorations? Thinking about trying it but hoping some has already gone down this path and can give me some advice. Thanks

I did it & it does help alot....
Here r some quick steps....

1. Take the fire guard off 4m hood...
2. Remove the plastic caps that r gona be the ramair...
3. Cut them 4m the first line in the back of them...
4. Use the saw-saw & cut cut across...
5. U will have perfect holes....
6. Cut the first layer of the hood as u want....
7. Get a can of foam, the one u use to cover holes....
8. Aplay it & shave it off as u want the shape inside the ramair
9. With a sheet rock blade cut the fire guard & put it back on...

This is just a real fast explination....
Its easy !.. I got it done in 1hr....

Here are two pics I found on the internet. I don’t recall the site. I hope they help.
This setup works with the Sport Performance hood. I’ll try to find it again.

Default performance hood

Those pics are for a center style ram air. I have the nostril style hood on my truck. Looks like what is on the challenger. I saw there functionals on ebay does anyone know if the openings on the ram are the same size as the Challenger?

The Challenger scoops are smaller than the Mopar Performance hood for the Ram.

They certainly are.

Sort of the same topic, but if anyone has a hood (Mopar Chally style hood) they want to get rid of, fat change, I know, I may be interested.
