I e/mailed NGK technical about plug issues. We'll see what their response is.I could call them Monday they list a phone number for technical. I got the nickname Hounddog cause I'd dog a issue out until I found the correct answer. I was told plug issues were mainly ones that had multiple prongs.I have no facts on that either. On Nissan's I remember some cold start issues on Z cars because of incorrect plugs. They can have a effect. But if I remember they were also entirely different brand and heat range etc.Datsun/Nissans used NGK for years.Champions did not work well in them. But my 1998 318 that I had headers,1.7 roller rockers, modified throttle body plus a performance download ran GREAT on a entirely different plug that was a totally different length.A short Autolite for a totally different application helped eliminate spark knock and had better cold start.Got the info off a Dodge truck site and by jimmy they worked better then what it came with by far.

I think in the long run it will pay for itself, since a diagnostic at the dealer is 85 bucks.
I have this one and it works fine http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=603853_0_0_

Default Surging

FYI - My 2010 Hemi TRX 4x4 would surge under light conditions. Most of the time when I was in a 35 MPH zone or less. I know I don't like going that slow and the truck didn't seem to either. When I took it back to the dealer for my first "free" oil change - they did not find any codes.

In the mean time - Superchips provided an update to my Cortex for the 2010 RAM (even thought it wasn't advertised yet) - so I have tried all the tunes for this rig so far. No matter the tune - the problem has not occurred in the month+ that I have been running the Superchips tune. That would lead me to believe computer issue in the default program from Dodge. At least Superchips resolved it for me.

My favorite tune is the 87 Octane performance tune. The gas saving mode didn't seem to make a difference and the higher 91 & 93 were only a bit better than the 87. I even use the 87 Tune for towing - it seems (for my boat load) to handle the load much better than being in towing mode. Of course it is pretty flat in Ohio too...
