Default RES HU Volume *** skipping and stuttering

Has anyone had this same issue. I Believe I have the RES HU on my 2009 and when I manually use the dial on the radio it has been skipping. Example: Volume is at 20 and I turn my dial down and it goes 19 20 19 20 19 20 19 20 19 20, and so forth regardless of turning speed or pressure in any direction. Within the last few days I have had to use the steering controls to fine tune the volume. I am leaning toward taking it to the dealer to do an oil change and a few recalls and wanted some feedback bout this radio issue so I dont go in there blind. Thanks a million. Wes
