Default tree sap

hey guys wondering if any of you have a quick and easy method for removing tree sap off of cars (that's paint friendly). there's big poplars where I work I try to avoid them the best I can, but I still have some sap on the truck. I removed some last week with goo gone automotive, but it was pretty much all elbow grease. I've heard methyl hydrate might work any other ideas??

Try using a clay bar. I've used it before and got good results

I had the same problem last week. I took a little bit of rubbing alcohol put it on a cloth and it came right of. Sap was there for about three days. My father-in-law, who is a old school car guy told me about it. I couldn't believe have easy the sap came off. Just make sure to rinse throughly with water. By far the easiest method I have ever tried on Sap.

i use this stuff http://www.tarminator.com/ it's basically brake cleaner spray. I watch sap drip off my truck when I spray it with tarminator. I bought it at the local auto store.

everywhere you spray this stuff, it strips any wax that you had on your vehicle.

We used to use Johnson's baby oil to remove road tar. It would probably work on tree sap as well.
A bit gentler than some of the other options mentioned.

I had a pine tree drip on mine. I used some OFF mosquito spray on a towel. Then hit it with some soap and water and wax after. Works even after the sap has harden up.

I have white pines all over our property and have been using Turtlewax bug and tar remover for years now on all our vehicles.

Rubbing alcohol works about the best IF it hasn't dried out. If the sap has hardened then hit it with an eraser wheel and it'll reduce it to a baby powder like consistency and you can just wipe it off with a damp cloth...
