Default Map updates

Anybody know where to go to get the map updates for the Nav units? I don't see it on any of the pages that list software.

Order them here: http://www.navteq.com/

I think its a rip-off at $200 a pop though... You could buy a brand new hand held garmin for that.

Agreed. Unless you have a specific need I wouldn't worry about map updates every year.

That site does rock, but unfortunately map updates for the United States cannot be downloaded off the internet like they can be for Europe. You can download the software updates for free, but not the maps. Furthermore, when you do order a map disc it comes with a code that is sequenced specifically to your VIN. If you were to take that disc and try to load it in another vehicles MyGig, the code would not work. Basically if you want to use the same map update disc to update multiple MyGig Nav radios, you have to install them in the vehicle you have the code for. Speaking of which... Anyone near St. Louis want to go in on a map update?
